책소개

『경주 신라의 수도 Gyeongju the ancient capital city of Silla』는 전 세계에서 오는 관광객들이 경주를 더 잘 이해할 수 있도록 쉬운 영어를 사용하여 소개한 책이다. 관광객들과 특히 신라의 역사와 문화와 유적들의 의미가 소통되도록 중점을 두었다. 이 책에서는 신라의 문화와 유물과 유명한 역사적인 장소뿐만 아니라 시내와 보문단지의 시설물도 포함했다. 또한 비료적 덜 알려진 조선시대의 역사유적지들도 더했다. 크게 경주와 남산으로 나누어 살펴보았다.

저자소개

저자 : 임진홍
저자 임진홍은 한양대학교 대학원에서 관광학으로 석사를 취득, 1988년부터 무주리조트와 수안보리조트의 기획부에서 일했다. 지금은 고향인 경주에서 ETC외국어학원을 경영하고 있다. 대구과학대학에서 외래교수로 10년 동안 관광 관련 과목을 강의했고, 지난 2011년에는 이 책을 펴내기 위한 자기 검증 차 관광영어통역사 자격을 취득하였다. 걷기와 하이킹과 사진 찍기를 즐긴다.
Edited, Translated into English, Photographed and illustrated by Jinhong Lim After receiving a M.A degree in Tourism at Hanyang university in 1988, he worked in the planning department at Muju resort and Suanbo resort. He has owned and run an English institute since returning to his hometown. In addition to his business he taught tourism related subjects at Daegue junior collage for 10 years. Last year, 2011, he was certified as an English tour guide, to help prepare for the publishing of this book. His hobbies include walking, hiking, and photography.
